The Context:
I went to Columbus, GA on Saturday to see a few hardcore bands that were awesome. On the way back I realized I took away absolutely ZERO from the show because I couldn't understand a word any of the five bands were saying. Well, I knew one song was screaming "Jesus is Christ" at one point, because they pointed out that they were a christian band and I heard "Jesus" and tuned in a little better. But that's it.

The Mission:
Prove that you can be a hardcore band without screaming every word. Sure, every know and then, a screamed word can show emotion. or just make it so you don't have to rhyme. But screaming every word does not make you a musician or a lyricist. It makes you...loud. So, I am going to create a hardcore band that doesn't scream every word. I am calling it Boys Are Like Graves. (Shallow, Get it?) So, that's that. Oh, and the band has to have a point. Because, lately, music has been all about sex and drugs, and I think that music should be used for self-expression, not sex. or drugs. especially not combined. So, out of the...two songs i wrote in math, one is about the war in Iraq, and the other is about Matthew Shepard and how persecuting people for being homosexual is wrong.


That's about it.

I also am doing it because Auburn's local music scene consists of stupid 10th graders who think they're punk because they cover Good Charllotte. and rednecks on acoustic guitar. but that's it.
